Quick Answers to the Questions Shoppers Ask First

What stays the same on every trim?

The 280-hp 3.5L V6, 10-speed automatic, front-wheel drive, 19/28/22 mpg EPA estimates, eight seats, 3,500-lb towing, cargo space, and the full Honda Sensing® suite.

Cheapest way to get a rear screen or CabinWatch?

Touring at $47,895. Neither is available on EX-L or Sport-L.

Which trim has ventilated seats?

Elite only, along with the heated steering wheel and hands-free tailgate.

Is there an AWD or hybrid Odyssey for 2027?

No. All four trims use the V6 with front-wheel drive; Snow mode is standard.

Leather or HondaTex?

HondaTex on EX-L and Sport-L; leather-trimmed on Touring; perforated leather on Elite.

Biggest price jump?

Touring to Elite ($4,200). The jump that adds the most family tech is EX-L to Touring ($4,700).

Choosing a 2027 Honda Odyssey trim is not a question of power or space. EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite all share a 280-horsepower V6, a 10-speed automatic, seating for eight, and the same cargo measurements. Honda’s spec sheet shows the real differences clustering in four places: what the back rows get, how much parking help you have, what the seats are trimmed in, and how much front-seat comfort you want.

That makes the decision easier than a four-trim lineup suggests. Picture the Odyssey in your actual week, whether that is school runs through Woodside and Sunnyside, squeezing into a spot on a side street off Northern Boulevard, or loading up for a weekend away on the Grand Central or the LIE. Then pick the first trim that solves the jobs you repeat most. Everything below is built to get you there fast.

On your test drive: Run the seat ventilation, play a familiar track, and try the hands-free tailgate with your arms full.

What You Give Up (or Keep) as You Move Up the Lineup

Trim ladders are not always strictly additive. These are the details spec shoppers tend to miss.

Touring and Elite drop the 3rd-row 12-volt outlet

Honda lists it on EX-L and Sport-L only. If a 3rd-row cooler or 12V accessory matters, that is worth knowing before you move up. Touring and Elite do add a third USB-C port back there and a 115-volt outlet up front.

Sport-L’s look is Sport-L only

Gloss-black wheels, red stitching, and red ambient lighting do not carry up to Touring or Elite. If you love that style, the higher trims will not give it to you.

EX-L gets no USB ports in the 3rd row

Row three on EX-L has a 12-volt outlet but no USB-C. Sport-L adds two ports, and Touring and Elite have three.

Higher trims weigh a little more

Curb weight climbs from 4,526 lbs on EX-L to 4,590 lbs on Elite. EPA ratings and towing stay identical across the lineup.

Leather is not automatically better for every family

EX-L and Sport-L use HondaTex. Touring and Elite switch to leather trim. Feel both in person, especially if car seats, snacks, and sports gear live in the van.

Elite’s extras are comfort, not capability

Most Elite additions are comfort and convenience. If none of them are daily-use items, Touring keeps the rear-seat tech and parking sensors for $4,200 less.

2027 Odyssey Head-to-Head Trim Matchups

Most shoppers end up deciding between two trims. Here is the price gap and the honest tiebreaker for each pairing.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Sport-L

$1,100 price difference

Sport-L buys styling (19-inch gloss-black wheels, red accents, red-stitched HondaTex) and two 3rd-row USB-C ports. Nothing mechanical, space-related, or safety-related changes.

Tiebreaker: Choose EX-L if function is the goal. Choose Sport-L if the look sells you or row-three riders need charging.

2027 Odyssey Sport-L vs Touring

$3,600 price difference

Touring is the largest equipment jump in the lineup: rear entertainment, CabinWatch, parking sensors, navigation, Wi-Fi capability, a 115V outlet, and leather-trimmed seats.

Tiebreaker: Choose Sport-L if devices already keep the back rows busy. Choose Touring if long trips or tight parking are routine.

2027 Odyssey Touring vs Elite

$4,200 price difference

Elite adds ventilated seats, a heated wheel, perforated leather, premium audio, hands-free tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, power-folding mirrors, and acoustic door glass. Rear-seat tech is the same.

Tiebreaker: Choose Touring for the family tech at a lower price. Choose Elite if the adults up front will use the comfort upgrades daily.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Touring

$4,700 price difference

This is the most common real-world decision. The gap buys the rear screen, CabinWatch, parking sensors, navigation, Wi-Fi capability, leather trim, extra 3rd-row charging, and 3rd-row sunshades.

Tiebreaker: Choose EX-L if the core van covers you. Choose Touring if young kids ride in back on longer drives.

2027 Odyssey EX-L vs Elite

$8,900 price difference

The full span of the lineup. Same engine, seats, cargo space, and towing; Elite adds every rear-seat tech, parking, material, audio, and comfort upgrade Honda offers on the Odyssey.

Tiebreaker: Choose EX-L for maximum value. Choose Elite if you want every feature and will use them.

Which 2027 Honda Odyssey Trim Fits Your Family?

Five quick questions. The quiz recommends the lowest trim that covers what you picked, so it will not push you up the lineup for features you will not use.

Pick the answer closest to your routine.0 of 5 answered
1. How often is the 3rd row full, and do those riders need to charge devices?
2. What does a longer drive with kids look like?
3. Where does the Odyssey spend most of its time parked?
4. Which comfort extras would you use most of the year?
5. How much does the look of the van matter?

Short version: EX-L for the core family package, Sport-L for sporty styling plus 3rd-row USB-C, Touring for the rear screen, CabinWatch, and parking sensors, and Elite for ventilated seats, a heated wheel, premium audio, and a hands-free tailgate.

What Every 2027 Honda Odyssey Includes

Cargo behind 1st row, standard / max140.7 / 155.8 cu ft (155.7 on Touring and Elite)

For city owners, the numbers that matter most are length and height. At just over 17 feet long, the Odyssey is worth measuring against your garage or regular parking space before you buy, and 69.6 inches of height is useful to check against posted clearance in parking garages around Queens and Manhattan. Touring and Elite add front and rear parking sensors, which help most when parallel parking on crowded blocks.

Your 2027 Honda Odyssey Test Drive Checklist

Run the same checks in each trim you are considering so the differences you notice come from the equipment, not the route.

  1. Install your car seats in the 2nd row, then slide the Magic Slide seats to see which layout works for your crew.
  2. Climb into the 3rd row yourself and fold the 60/40 Magic Seat into the floor with one hand.
  3. Open the power sliding doors at a curb and check how easily kids can get in and out.
  4. Load the gear you actually carry, such as a stroller, sports bags, or a grocery run, behind the 3rd row.
  5. Pair your phone wirelessly and set up the directions you use most.
  6. On Touring or Elite, watch the rear screen from both back rows and check CabinWatch from the driver’s seat.
  7. Park it in a tight spot to feel the Odyssey’s length, and try the parking sensors on Touring and Elite.
  8. On Elite, run the ventilated seats and heated wheel, and try the hands-free tailgate with full hands.

2027 Honda Odyssey Trim Questions, Answered

Direct answers to the questions shoppers ask most about the 2027 Odyssey lineup.

What are the 2027 Honda Odyssey trim levels?

There are four, in this order: EX-L ($43,195), Sport-L ($44,295), Touring ($47,895), and Elite ($52,095). Those are Honda's starting MSRPs before the $1,495 destination charge, taxes, and fees.

How much does the 2027 Honda Odyssey cost with destination?

Honda's total suggested retail price, which adds the $1,495 destination charge, is $44,690 for EX-L, $45,790 for Sport-L, $49,390 for Touring, and $53,590 for Elite. Taxes, registration, and options are extra, and pricing on a specific vehicle can differ.

What is the difference between the 2027 Odyssey EX-L and Sport-L?

Sport-L costs $1,100 more and changes mostly the look: 19-inch gloss-black alloys instead of 18-inch machine-finished wheels, Sport-L exterior and interior styling, red-stitched HondaTex seats, and red ambient lighting. The practical addition is two USB-C ports in the 3rd row. Powertrain, seating, cargo space, and safety tech are the same.

What does the 2027 Odyssey Touring add over Sport-L?

For $3,600 more, Touring adds the 12.8-inch Advanced Rear Entertainment System, CabinWatch, front and rear parking sensors, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot capability with HondaLink subscription services, an HDMI input, a 3rd-row headphone jack, a 115-volt outlet, three 3rd-row USB-C ports, 3rd-row sunshades, upper seatback pockets, and leather-trimmed seats with piping.

Is the 2027 Odyssey Elite worth it over Touring?

Elite costs $4,200 more than Touring. It adds ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, perforated leather trim, a 500-watt 11-speaker audio system with Multi-Zone Audio, a hands-free power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors, and acoustic laminate front and rear door glass. It is worth it if you will use those comfort features most days; Touring already has the rear-seat technology.

Which 2027 Odyssey trims have a rear entertainment system and CabinWatch?

Touring and Elite. EX-L and Sport-L do not offer the Advanced Rear Entertainment System or CabinWatch, although CabinTalk, the in-car PA system, is standard on every trim.

Which 2027 Honda Odyssey has ventilated seats?

Only Elite. Heated front seats are standard across the lineup, but ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel are exclusive to the top trim.

Do all 2027 Odyssey trims have leather seats?

No. EX-L and Sport-L use HondaTex-trimmed seats, with red stitching on Sport-L. Touring has leather-trimmed seats with piping, and Elite has perforated leather-trimmed seats with piping.

Does the 2027 Honda Odyssey come with AWD or a hybrid engine?

No. Honda lists one powertrain for every 2027 Odyssey trim: a 280-hp, 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. Intelligent Traction Management with Snow mode is standard.

What is the 2027 Honda Odyssey gas mileage?

Every trim carries EPA estimates of 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined, and runs on regular unleaded fuel with a 19.5-gallon tank. Actual mileage varies with driving conditions and how you drive.

How much can the 2027 Honda Odyssey tow?

Honda lists a 3,500-pound maximum towing capacity for every trim when properly equipped. Moving up the lineup does not change it.

How many seats does the 2027 Honda Odyssey have?

Eight on every trim. The 2nd row uses Magic Slide seats with a multi-function center seat, and the 60/40 split 3rd-row Magic Seat folds into the floor in one motion.

How much cargo space does the 2027 Odyssey have?

Honda lists 32.8 cubic feet behind the 3rd row, 86.6 behind the 2nd row, and 140.7 behind the front seats as standard figures on every trim, with maximum figures of 38.6, 91.0, and up to 155.8 cubic feet.

How big is the 2027 Honda Odyssey?

Every trim is 205.2 inches long, 78.5 inches wide, and 69.6 inches tall on a 118.1-inch wheelbase, with a 39.64-foot curb-to-curb turning diameter. Curb weight runs from 4,526 pounds on EX-L to 4,590 pounds on Elite.

Which 2027 Odyssey trims have parking sensors?

Touring and Elite, with four front and four rear sensors. Every trim includes a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, Blind Spot Information System, and Cross Traffic Monitor.

Which 2027 Odyssey trims have USB ports in the 3rd row?

Sport-L has two 3rd-row USB-C ports, and Touring and Elite have three. EX-L has no 3rd-row USB ports but keeps a 3rd-row 12-volt outlet, as does Sport-L. Touring and Elite do not list a 3rd-row 12-volt outlet.

Does every 2027 Odyssey have power sliding doors and a power tailgate?

Yes. Power sliding doors and a power tailgate with programmable height are standard. Elite upgrades the tailgate with Hands-Free Access.

Is Honda Sensing standard on the 2027 Odyssey?

Yes. Every trim includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with Advanced Pedestrian Detection, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Information, Cross Traffic Monitor, and Auto High-Beam headlights.
