New Honda Ad Campaign Targets Optimistic Millenials

January 9th, 2014 by

Honda is working hard to show of its 2014 Honda Civic Coupe and sporty SI Coupe, and it’s hired its ad company to create a sparkly new marketing campaign that targets the industry’s most coveted graphic: the Millenimal generation.

Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of auto operations at American Honda, explains the idea behind the new campaign, stating, “This new Civic campaign connects with a new generation of buyers by prompting them to focus on the positive and consider what they love about today,” said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of auto operations at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Civic campaign also introduces a crew of fun pop cultural references that will pique Gen Y’s attention across media they frequent.”1

The campaign is extremely optimistic, and it comes with loads of fun pop cultural references, such as Adventure Time characters and the Nyan cat. There’s simply no focus on serious issues such as tax cuts and financing offers.

The ad campaign began yesterday with several 30-second spots designed for television viewers and longer 2-minute videos for viewers watching online. Next week, the campaign will blossom, with page takeovers on Yahoo! And MSN and a First Watch series on YouTube.

Keep an eye out for the new spots, reader, and don’t hesitate to drop by Paragon Honda, located in Woodside, NY, and check out the new Honda Civic at your earliest convenience. We’re sure you’ll be impressed with its many features!
